Derby food center is a great place to stop by before you are going for a run, have rehearsal, etc. The staff is always so kind and I only hear great things. They have everything you would need from deodorant and notebooks, to instant ramen and drinks.

Quite a bit of selection for a corner market. I’m actually quite jealous my buddy lives around the corner whereas the one by my place has probably 1/4 of the selection and doesn’t even sell alcohol.

If you live east of College and are close to campus, chances are the most convenient place to do some quick grocery shopping will be at the Derby Food Center. They have most of your essentials, but the main downside is that some items are pretty expensive. They also have a wide selection of alcohol as well, but again, they mark up the prices a little. For the factor of convenience, I would say some of the alcohol is worth it. However, since CVS opened a few blocks down on Telegraph and Derby, it might be a smart idea to go a few extra blocks if you want to pick up alochol or groceries there for cheaper. But like most college students, we walk most everywhere, so those four extra blocks to 7-11 or CVS seem like forever, and a few extra bucks spent here is probably worth saving those 15 minutes. Also, if you're looking for quarters for laundry, they have a change machine in here as well that anyone can use. Just bring cash.
